Post-Jam Update!


Hi everyone!

First and foremost, I'd like to show appreciation to everyone that took the time to play my rushed and scuffed little game for this awesome Gamejam hosted by Tobugis!

๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes:

  • The instance where the player got stuck in Shield animation is now fixed.
  • You can no longer spam multiple waves at once by spamming the button.
  • When the enemy is on Death animation it no longer damages the player.
  • Player now moves to a safe location before the enemies spawn.

๐Ÿธ Improvements:

  • Added some sparkle to items when they drop to make sure you don't miss any.
  • After each wave you'll get a pop-up to remind you to take care of your pet needs.
  • If you're not full health AND you care for your pet enough, he'll heal you to full health!
  • On the GameOver screen it now shows the level of your pet so you know how far you reached.
  • This was also a big ask: Your pet artwork will now reflect his needs.
  • Overall UI improvements to make it look pretty.
  • And finally SFX and BGM! You can turn these off on the "Pet Info" screen.
  • Keybinds where also reworked (on behalf of all the "Space" feedback to jump and AZERTY keyboards).

And that'll all folks! This project won't be receiving any more updates unless someone finds a game breaking bug (in that case I'll make sure to fix it), it was an awesome experience to work on this, if you want to see more make sure to follow my other ongoing projects!
